Nottingham-based charity Footprints CEC, the city’s only Conductive Education Centre, has appointed reputable local residential developer Nic Jepson as its new Chair of Trustees.

Nic takes over the role from Alison Brooks, a partner at Barratts Solicitors, who has fulfilled the role of acting Chair for the last twelve months. Alison will now resume her role as Vice Chair with immediate effect, working alongside Nic within his new capacity on the board.

Prior to his appointment, Nic has spent much of the past three decades working in the residential development sector for companies such as InLine Property Consultants, Ark Housing Consultancy LLP. Within these roles, Nic has been responsible for site identification and planning, financial appraisals and project management in order to identify new sites and see development through to completion.

He also takes part in Nottingham’s annual Hot Property charity music event – attracting a host of talented artists, with all proceeds going to several local children’s charities to make a significant difference across the wider Nottinghamshire community.

Speaking about his appointment as Chair of Trustees, Nic said, “Having seen the work that a charity similar to Footprints undertakes, I was taken by the commitment of the staff, the dedication of the parents towards their children and the overarching aims and beliefs of the charity.”  He continues, “Because of this, when I was asked about becoming a trustee for Footprints, it was an easy decision to make. I hope to continue the excellent work that the Board of Trustees undertake, as well as helping to guide Footprints through its next stage of growth and consolidating its position as a major centre for conductive education here in Nottingham.”

Footprints’ Communications Manager, Eileen Sleaford, is delighted to welcome Nic on board and sees his appointment as a significant and positive move – “Nic understands the needs of a charity such as ours with his previous experiences – so we are excited to see what he will bring to us as we look to push further and continue our upward curve!”
