On 25 September 2022 Footprints Patron Richard Whitehead MBE will be officially starting the 41st Robin Hood Half Marathon and will also be taking part himself in the half marathon. Nottingham based charity Footprints Conductive Education Centre has recently celebrated its 20 year anniversary and is incredibly proud to have Richard Whitehead as their patron.
Footprints are delighted to be one of the charity partners for the Robin Hood Marathon this year and have a team of runners for the event. With 14 people taking part in the half marathon and 6 children and families in the 1.5 mile mini marathon, the Footprints Team will be easy to spot in their purple and black Footprints designed running tops. All of the Footprints Team have been fundraising for this wonderful event, raising funds to transform the lives of children and families.
The team of runners will be greeted at the Footprints charity tent at the end of the race and will be supported along the iconic route by the volunteer marshalls who will be cheering the team on as they pass Nottingham’s many favourite landmarks.
Footprints are a Conductive Education Centre and transform the lives of children with mobility and communication difficulties.
They support babies and pre-school children with conditions such as cerebral palsy that cause motor disorders or motor development delay. They also run projects to help children with Down’s syndrome improve their skills in all areas of early development. The charity creates a safe, positive, supportive and fun environment where their skilled team work together with their children and families to develop physical, communication, social, self help and thinking skills.
