Friends of Footprints

A big thank you to all our Friends!

As a small, local charity that depends on voluntary donations and funding from people and organisations, Footprints CEC is incredibly grateful to everyone that supports us. Without your help, we’d be unable to offer our educational and support services to disabled children and their families. Thank you.

You’ll find all the latest updates on supporter activity on our Facebook page and Twitter – you can also visit the News section of the website.

Des Coleman

Des Coleman is a long-term supporter of our charity. He is well-known for his work as a TV presenter, weatherman on ITV Central, actor, musician, speaker and coach.

‘I was delighted to be asked to support Footprints Conductive Education Centre. What inspires me is that every day each of the children overcomes tremendous obstacles, learning to do things most of us take for granted – they don’t realise it, though; to them, it’s all fun! And their parents are helped too, which is important. I am fully behind the service, and I want more people to know about the amazing work they do here in Nottingham.’

Des was instrumental in setting up interviews and filming at FOOTPRINTS CEC for BBC Inside Out. You can read more about Des at his website www.descoleman.com

Graeme Swann, cricketer

We were thrilled to be chosen as one of Graeme’s Benefit Year charities and even more delighted to receive a fabulous donation of £10,000!

“Being close personal friends of Darren and Victoria, the parents of beautiful little Roxy Caskey, I’ve seen first-hand what a remarkable difference FOOTPRINTS CEC makes to the lives of children who attend. I support this fantastic charity wholeheartedly and urge anyone out there to do the same.”

Support from charitable trusts, businesses and organisations

We’re lucky to receive a substantial chunk of our funding from corporate donations, fundraising and sponsorship. Other groups support us by offering their services for free or at reduced rates, enabling us to channel more of our precious funds into our work. We want to thank the following Trusts, organisations and individuals for their continued support. Some of our supporters have requested that they remain anonymous, and although we cannot formally thank them, we value and appreciate their continued involvement.

Here are just a few of the local people and regional/national businesses who’ve either supported us in the past or who support us today. Each of them makes such a big difference to the services we’re able to offer. Thank you.

Forming partnerships with local organisations

We’re grateful to receive help from many businesses in the Nottingham area and beyond. This support includes corporate donations and funding, free or reduced-price services and practical help, such as painting and decorating, from teams of volunteers.
