During the lockdown period, we created online sessions using Zoom to support our families, helping them to keep practising Conductive Education at home and providing some structure for children and parents/carers. Conductive Education is very much a hands-on, face-to-face method that addresses the specific needs of individual children; therefore, adapting what we do to work remotely meant that our team had to rethink how best to communicate.
We are now running face-to-face sessions again but some children are continuing with Zoom.
It’s not ideal we know, but we’re mindful of the needs of our families at a time when they most need the support.
