Our mission statement
Our mission is to provide Conductive Education and other services to help children with mobility and communication difficulties develop the skills they need to thrive and achieve their potential. We’re committed to creating a safe, positive, supportive and fun environment where parents receive practical assistance, information and training to help them support their children in their own homes.
We are a long standing local charity, formerly known as School for Parents.
We’re a small Nottingham-based charity that supports babies and pre-school children with conditions such as cerebral palsy that cause motor disorders or motor development delay. We also run projects to help children with Down’s syndrome improve their skills in all areas of early development, including motor skills and communication.
We work closely with both the children and their parents to encourage and motivate each child’s desire to achieve tasks. At the same time, we give parents the knowledge, confidence, and strength they need to cope with their child’s disability and understand how they can help.
“Without our Footprints’ sessions, I don’t think our son would be developing as beautifully as he is. The team are absolute experts, and we’re grateful from the bottom of our hearts for their input into his development.”
All our activities have a common goal – to help every child reach their full potential within a safe, fun, and supportive environment.
