Competition Winner - Design Richard Whitehead's Running Blades!

We're delighted to announce that Billy from Jesse Gray Primary School is the running of our competition to design Richard's running blades for this year's Robin Hood Half Marathon!

  • London To Brighton Charity Bike Ride 2024

    Huge congratulations to our amazing London to Brighton charity bike ride Team, who completed their epic 55 mile challenge on 15 September. The team was made up of colleagues from CSL Group, Skills for Security, John Pye Auctions, Wall 2 Wall Security, BSIA, and Joe Duffy Training and Coaching, and overall, they raised an incredible £10,000 for our charity.

  • Robin Hood Marathon 2024

    We had an amazing day at the Robin Hood Marathon 2024! With our biggest team ever taking part in the Half and Mini Marathon, along with volunteers, including official marshalls, this is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year. Our Patron Richard Whitehead MBE officially started the race and ran with pride in his Footprints Nike running vest. View all the event photos here.

  • Footprints Fantasia!

    On 20 August we held our brand new event, Footprints Fantasia! Four illusionists and a singer delighted our audience with exciting magic and illusion tricks and we were thrilled to raise £460.27 for our charity.

  • Tony Smith Memorial Cup - 21 July 2024

    The Tony Smith Memorial Cup was held on 21 July 2024, at Basford United Football Club, an event to fundraise for Footprints and also the Tony Smith family which raised over £7,000 in total! A fantastic day was had by all, with three football tournaments spread throughout the day, an online auction, inflatables, face painting and exciting raffle! Thank you to everyone who attended!

  • Tough Mudder 2024!

    A Footprints team of competitors completed Tough Mudder on 7 July 2024, at Belvoir Castle! We were thrilled to have such a wonderful team train for and take on this very muddy challenge, including past and present families and a corporate team with Intex Facades. The team all did wonderfully have raised just over £3,300 so far for us, and also helped raise awareness of Footprints, completing the course in our personalised purple fundraising t shirts.

  • Footprints Chinese Banquet Event

    Thank you to everyone who came to our first ever Footprints Chinese Banquet event in June. Held at the fantastic Chungs in Mapperley, we were delighted to have over 80 people there supporting our charity and enjoying the delicious food, and overall the event raised over £1,500 for Footprints.

  • Run with Rich 2024

    We were thrilled to partner with our Patron's charity, The Richard Whitehead Foundation, for their event Run with Rich on 2 June 2024. A fully inclusive event which brought together so many people and organisations, including some of our families and ones who have grown and left our service.  

  • Footprints Afternoon Tea - April 2024

    On 28 April we held our Footprints Afternoon Tea event at Burnside Memorial Hall in Plumtree. It was a fantastic afternoon, with delicious food and drinks, photo prop room and the very first showing of our Charity Song, organised by our Champion Ambassador Lucie Gregory. Thank you to our Footprints team and volunteers who gave up their time, including Karen from our team, our parent and volunteer Jo Powell, photographer Levi and Trustee Helena.

  • London Landmarks & Brighton Marathon Teams - 2024

    We would like to say a massive thank you to our incredible Footprints team of runners from 7 April at the London Landmarks Half Marathon and Brighton Marathon. Congratulations to Ian, Des and Kay for completing the Brighton Marathon, and between them and with all their fundraising activities so far, have raised an amazing £3001 for our charity. And we’re wishing Kerry lots of luck for her marathon in May, as she was unfortunately ill on the day of Brighton. Congratulations to Lizzie, Megan, Max, Erin, Rachel and Kieren who completed London Landmarks Half Marathon and overall have raised an incredible £3907 for Footprints.

  • Footprints Celebration Dinner 2024

    On 21 March we held our very first Footprints Celebration Dinner, an opportunity for our Support Partners, Charity Partners, Volunteers, Patron and Ambassadors to all connect and celebrate the successes of Footprints over the last year, and the difference we have made together. We raised £2,824.28, but the event was about much more than that - we celebrated together, and everyone made new contacts and connections. You can see all of the photos from the event here.

  • Afternoon Pamper & Tea 2024

    Our first event of 2024 was our Afternoon Pamper & Tea on 21 January, held at Burnside Memorial Hall in Plumtree. The event was a huge success, thanks to the number of volunteers and businesses who supported the day, and which brought together some of our families and supporters. We're thrilled that the event raised £1,145.12, and you can see all of the photos here

  • Winter Wonderland Ice Skating 2023

    On 29 December 2023, our families past and present, had a wonderful time at Nottingham's Winter Wonderland, with an exclusive and inclusive ice skating session. Thank you to AC Wollaton for arranging this for us, and you can see all the photos here.

  • Families Christmas Party 2023

    All of our families came together on 9 December for our very special Footprints Christmas Party. Our children and families celebrated with a special visit to see Santa, presents, Makaton Christmas singalong, along with a visit from some superheroes. You can see all of the photos here.

  • Little Footprints Ball 2023

    Wow, what a night we had at the Little Footprints Ball! The event held in November 2023 and organised by our Champion Ambassador Lisa Fox, brought together nearly 300 people, all to support Footprints. The evening had music, dancing, great food and the most amazing auction and raffle prizes, generously donated by an incredible number of businesses. Overall the event raised the most unbelievable amount of £25,147.96! This money will make a huge difference to the children and families we support across the East Midlands, who all live with disabilities.

  • Rutland Night Walk

    In November 2023 we held a new fundraising event for our charity, The Rutland NightWalk. The 10km route around Rutland Water, was beautifully decorated with fairly lights and our team included some of our families, as well as our Charity Manager and Chair of Trustees. The amazing team of walkers raised nearly £700 in total, and not only that, we were thrilled to organise a new type of fundraising event which was inclusive and accessible to all.

  • 20 Year Anniversary Celebrations

    On 17 July 2022 we very proudly celebrated our 20 year anniversary of being a charity. We held a huge party for our current and past families, supporters, trustees and volunteers, with football, basketball, dancing, a raffle and more! View all of the party photos here
